The Minecraft Movie is premiering on April 4th of this year. Despite having $150 million in production funds, many fans are dreading its debut.
With much bleakness on Minecraft’s social media, it is on track to being either a great film or the greatest disappointment of the year. However, there are many fans anticipating its debut, such as some of our students here and me.
Junior Yaritza Hernandez says, “I’m excited to see the movie and I’ve been waiting for it ever since it got announced. I’ve always played Minecraft as a kid, to know that a video game is gonna be performed as a movie, it’s pretty cool.”
Since the Minecraft movie is based on the videogame, the animation in this movie is key. The animation from the trailers is realistic and gives viewers an immersive experience.
Freshman Ricardo Reyes says, “I’m ready to see it [A Minecraft movie]. I also want to see how good the animation is.”
Indeed, the Minecraft movie has much doubt in its success by many people including fans. Nevertheless, there are still countless fans who are awaiting its release with much enthusiasm. Minecraft has a special place in its fans hearts and their childhoods. Furthermore, as a long time Minecraft fan myself, I cannot wait to watch it.
