Two-time grammy award winner Sabrina Carpenter announced her Short n’ Sweet deluxe album that had came out on February 14th, 2025. The five new deluxe tracks included “15 minutes”, “Please Please Please (feat. Dolly Parton),” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.” The original Short n’ Sweet already won for best pop vocal album of the year, and now I believe these new tracks will make this album a better album than it already is.
Traveling back in time to April 11, 2024, Carpenter released her worldwide hit “Espresso”, which took the world by storm. You could not get away from hearing the song since it was playing everywhere. By everywhere I mean, on the radio, TikTok, Instagram, and way more. The song has a total of 1,920,402,500 streams. Shortly after, in August of 2024, Carpenter dropped her sixth studio album “Short n’ Sweet”, which took no time climbing up the charts everywhere. Some of the hit songs were “Taste”, which starred famous actor Jenna Ortega in its music video, and “Please, Please, Please”.
Short n’ Sweet reached major commercial success and is pop perfection that was needed in the year 2024. Breaking down each song bit by bit, there is something for everyone to love even if pop is not your thing. From catchy and upbeat songs like “Taste”, “Please, Please, Please”, “Good Graces”, “Bed chem”, “Espresso”, and “Juno”. Then to slower ones like, “Sharpest Tool”, “Coincidence”, “Dumb & Poetic”, “Slim Pickins”, “Lie to Girls, and “Don’t Smile”. Overall, this album is everything you can expect from a pop album and so much more. It has rock, country, disco, and r&b elements throughout.
With that said, I was excited to listen to the new deluxe tracks that had come out on Valentines Day. It was the sweetest gift ever for a fan like me. Also, Short n’ Sweet is one of my favorite albums currently and I think it is worth giving it a try if you are someone who wants to try something new.
The deluxe tracks are amazing, after my first listens to them on February 14, the songs “Couldn’t make it any harder”, “Busy Woman”, and “Bad reviews” stood out to me the most. “Please Please Please (Feat. Dolly Parton)”, was also a nice addition, although I wish Dolly had some more individual lines. Otherwise, I like it a lot. One track that I will have to give a second listen to is “15 minutes”, though. Short n’ Sweet deluxe is everything I hoped it would be and more. It is something that you will always come back to when you’re in need of some fun catchy tunes, mixed with a little something else in it.
